Two special moments within the spiral have combined into the one, and Birth-O-Ween is here!
The halloween season has hit the Spiral at the same time as Pirate101’s 1st Anniversary! In this one year, Pirate101 has managed to have 5 MILLION pirates sail around the skyways. Congrats to KingsIsle on the amazing success of Pirate101! There are some special things coming to the spiral, too… keep your eyes open in Skull Island for signs of a Birth-o-Ween party.
First off is the halloween themed Galleon and Eyepatches! The ships are available in the Crowns Shop for 5000 Crowns and have some interesting gameplay possibilities, seeming to match the stats of the best galleons available at each level, and improving on their base health.
The eyepatches give no stats; at this point they’re purely for fun and games, but at only 100 Crowns each it’s a cheap way to dress your pirate up for the occasion and have a blast in game.
The next surprise coming to the spiral is.. A PARTY HAT! A special code to use will be announced very soon!
Another surprise coming is a mysterious cursed statue that has appeared outside of Avery’s office. What could this be for? Go talk to Mickey Dugan, the town crier who is located between the Privateer and Buccanneer classrooms to begin this quest. Can you lift the curse that lies on this new statue?
Pirate had also announced a new feature soon to come: Battle Standards! Battle Standards can accompany you in a battle, but take up a slot in your tokens (the powers near the bottom of the screen). This standard will grant a power bonus to one type of companion, and all companions of the same type that are out will gain these bonuses. These can also be used in PvP, but watch out! You may get 2x the bonus if you plant it in enemy territory, but in PvP, your opponent can knock it out, and your crew will face a penalty! The first one will be introduced in a future gamecard for Pirate101 coming soon.
There are two final minor but note-worthy updates. The long-dreaded companion Wing Chun will be getting some much-needed power-ups to his Damage, Health, Dodge, and Armor for all promotion tiers. In addition Privateers will also learn Gunnery at level 4 instead of 7 and Valor’s Shield at level 7 instead of 4.
Have a spooktastic birthday in the Spirals!
